About the UK Health Data Analytics Network (UK-HDAN)

The UK Health Data Analytics Network (UK-HDAN) unites over 400 health data scientists across the UK. Our mission is to map the health data analytics landscape and shape the national research strategy.

Supported by EPSRC, UK-HDAN fosters collaboration between health informatics researchers, data scientists, and healthcare professionals. We aim to bridge the gap between foundational data science theory and its practical application in health research using electronic health records and population data.

In partnership with the Farr Institute and the Alan Turing Institute, and coordinated by Manchester Informatics, UK-HDAN tackles key challenges in health and social care through innovative data science.

Our Research Roadmap

We are developing a dynamic research roadmap, informed by workshops, industry engagement, and community surveys. This roadmap outlines critical research challenges and opportunities in health data analytics, providing a strategic framework for funders like EPSRC and guiding dialogue with stakeholders.
