"DeepL Introduces AI Writing Assistant for Improved Text Creation"

DeepL, the renowned online translation platform, has recently announced the launch of its AI assistant, designed specifically to enhance the writing process. Unlike other AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, this new assistant provides real-time suggestions on word choice, phrasing, style, and tone, making it an invaluable tool for optimizing text regardless of language proficiency.

DeepL Write Pro, the name of the new writing assistant, is the first product from the German software company based on its own large AI language model (LLM). This model, similar to GPT from OpenAI, Gemini from Google, and Llama from Meta, is designed to understand and generate human language. This new AI tool is targeted primarily at business users and aims to support teams within companies during the writing process for business content.

The AI writing assistant, currently available in English and German, can help companies ensure precise communication in internal content, external customer communications, and contracts. The free version grants users a limited number of text improvements, while the full version costs €15 or $16.50 per month per user. With this move, DeepL joins the ranks of large IT companies such as Microsoft and Google and the world's leading AI start-up OpenAI in the competition for AI tools.

Although DeepL's translation app has previously been successful in competing against Google Translate, it currently supports only 30 different languages compared to Google Translate's 133. However, DeepL's high-quality translations have often received better ratings than Google's service.
