Following the success of the Inaugural Workshop in January 2016, the UK-HDAN organised a follow-on workshop to build on the initial scoping of a research roadmap owned by the community. The roadmap will provide funders, particularly EPSRC, with a clear statement of health data analytics research challenges and opportunities, and will continue the dialogue with the Alan Turing and Farr Institutes.
The workshop was attended by over 60 delegates from both academia & industry. Over the two days there were three breakout sessions focusing on the areas of Healthcare Opportunities for Data Science, Data Science research Challenges & the broader issues for health data analytics research.
This event was organised by the UK Health Data Analytics Network Steering Group with representatives from the Farr Institute, The Alan Turing Institute, The University of Manchester, University of Cambridge, The University of Edinburgh & University of Leeds
